Welcome NSScotland

Monday, March 31st, 2008

It appears that Scottish-based Mac Developer groups are like buses: you wait for ages, and then two come along at once.

We’re pleased to announce that MacMacDev are now joining forces with NSScotland, in a combined effort to create a truly awesome Mac Developer community in Scotland.

Many thanks to Gavin for his help in making this happen.

macMacDevs[0] = Core_Group_Meeting

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

macMacDevs[0] was held on Tuesday 25 March 2008, seven years and one day after the launch of Mac OS X 10.0.

To commemorate this anniversary, seven Mac geeks formed the CoreGroup of MacMacDev; beta-tested a potential venue for future meetings (let’s just say that particular venue isn’t one we’ll be going back to!); and generally discussed Mac development stuff.

Our next meeting, macMacDevs[1], will be held at OffShore, 3/5 Gibson Street, Glasgow, G12 8NU, on Thursday 24 April 2008, from 19:00.

For more information, or to let us know you’re thinking of coming along, email david at macmacdev dot com.

Hello world!

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Welcome to MacMacDev: the group for Mac Developers in Scotland.

In Scotland? Use Macs? Write code? Come and join MacMacDev. Doesn’t matter if you’re writing for the desktop, the iPhone, or for the web, as long as you’re doing development work on the Mac you’re more than welcome.

We meet on the last Thursday of every month for an evening of geeky conversation and code; nothing too formal, no membership fees, no presentations, just socializing, discussing, coding, debugging, and the occasional bout of whining and rumor-mongering.

We look forward to seeing you at the next MacMacDev!
